THE 3 CRITICAL ELEMENTS IN DESIGNING TRANSFORMATIONAL EXPERIENCES  | PART 1

Led by Larry Bolden

Overview| Have you ever wondered what makes the Wellspring experience so transformational? We have spent a lot of prayerful consideration grappling with that question.  This multi-part series -probably 4-5 – invites you into the journey of discovering and understanding the three critical elements of context, content and competencies which are part of every Wellspring experience.   This will empower you to steward these elements as you facilitate, lead or speak in events or adapt and create experiences.  We will apply what we are discovering to environments in your domain such as home, work and friendships.

THE 3 CRITICAL ELEMENTS IN DESIGNING TRANSFORMATIONAL EXPERIENCES | PART 2

THE 3 CRITICAL ELEMENTS IN DESIGNING TRANSFORMATIONAL EXPERIENCES  | PART 2

Led by Larry Bolden

Overview|

In this workshop we will discover how Wellspring’s 3 critical elements of transformation:  Context, Content, and Competencies are applied through an interactive adult learning model.   This model is adapted from Dr. Jane Vella’s book Learning to Listen, Learning to Teach: The Power of Dialogue in Educating Adults.

This model involves:

  1. Anchor the participant in prior knowledge or experience
  2. Add truth/content in an interactive way that touches the whole heart
  3. Apply by engaging the truth personally in a way that touches the whole heart
  4. Take Away by connecting this truth with its future use in your life

We will discover

  1. How these 4 A’s are woven throughout the Battle process to create a transformational opportunity for participants
  2. How you as a leader are a critical part of the process

MUCKING AND MOVING | EXPLORING THE HEART AND MOVING TO ACTION (ENGAGING PRACTICAL)

MUCKING AND MOVING | EXPLORING THE HEART AND MOVING TO ACTION (ENGAGING PRACTICAL)

Led by Dana Smith

Overview| “I got to a deep desire. Now what?” This is a question I get often when coaching Battle facilitators. There is some uncertainty when it comes to exploring feelings and desires and then actually helping the other person move to action. On this call we will discuss how to effectively muck around in the basement of the heart – keeping the person focused on feelings and desires – and when/how to appropriately move the person toward an action step.

Prep work| Come with a situation you might want to be engaged around and be prepared to brainstorm with the rest of the group.

How do I handle it when someone brings up in small group a disagreement over concepts in the large group teaching? How do I handle differences in what I believe (theologically) and what my team believes? Bring your questions and your experience for a peer-to-peer discussion.
