TRUE GRACE IN COMMUNITY BRINGS FREEDOM

Freedom to take off masks, face our brokenness and take risks with one another.  In Community, the power of the Gospel penetrates our hearts and overflows into every area of our lives: family, friendship, work and church.

CULTIVATING CHANGE THROUGH LEADERSHIP

You're concerned about the spiritual welfare of the people God has entrusted to you.  You long to see them grow, change, and become vibrant contributors to the Kingdom.  How do you cultivate an environment in which your people are motivated and equipped to live out their Kingdom callings more fully?

whole

Leading From Wholeness

Because real change in a faith community starts with its leaders, we come alongside those leaders to help them discover their whole hearts, their part in God's Story, and their true identities in Christ.

heart

Leading From The Heart

As men and women live out of their own hearts in the context of authentic community, they are able to lead in a way that is energizing, rather than draining.

Depth

Leading With Depth

The Battle for the Heart process facilitates connecting at a deeper relational level, empowering leaders to "love one another deeply; mourn with those who mourn, rejoice with those who rejoice, and spur one another on to love and good deeds."

Community

Leading With Community

Living in a more authentic community frees men and women to lead in the safety and security of who they are becoming in Christ.

How Has the Battle Impacted Other Churches?

FUMC Butler, PA

In January, 2015 Wellspring Group met with lay and pastoral leaders from First United Methodist Church, Butler, PA to begin dreaming and planning to bring the Battle for the Heart to Pennsylvania. From the outset there was a strong, sobering sense of the spiritual challenges stemming from generational pain in western PA.

Oak Mountain, Birmingham, AL

In partnership with Wellspring Group, Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, AL is beginning to witness the congregational change they have longed to see for over 25 years.
Men and women are experiencing the love and validation of God that is freeing them to become who they were created to be.
The Battle for the Heart is having a ripple effect as increasing numbers of individuals, couples, families, fathers, mothers, small groups, churches, businessmen and missionaries are getting in touch with their heart, God’s Larger Story and their part in it.

Our hope is that you will learn more about that Battle for the Heart, see how God has used it to bring about real change and get a glimpse of what transformation could take place in your heart!

How it Works

What happens when a church or organization partners with Wellspring to bring the Battle process to their whole congregation or team?
Here’s how it works:

Battle for Your Heart Events:

Your leadership team (pastors, ministry leaders, and other key organizational members) attends the Battle for Your Heart. Informed by your experience of the Battle, you and your team evaluate what level of partnership with Wellspring Group would best meet the needs of your organization: Consulting Partner, Reproducing Partner, Mission Organization Partner.

[Step One] Battle for Your Heart Events

Your leadership team (pastors, ministry leaders, and other key organizational members) attends the Battle for Your Heart. Informed by your experience of the Battle, you and your team evaluate what level of partnership with Wellspring Group would best meet the needs of your organization: Consulting Partner, Reproducing Partner, Mission Organization Partner.

[Step Two] Consulting Partner

Consulting Partners receive strategic coaching in spiritual formation, leadership development, and congregational care. Additional coaching for the specific needs of key leaders can be provided, along with various equipping workshops for non-Battle participants.

[Step Three] Reproducing Partner Church

Reproducing partners enter a multi-year process to equip pastoral and lay leaders to replicate the Battle for the Heart inside their faith community. The Battle process can be adapted within the context of the organization. As leaders are shepherded, they become more effective shepherds of one another, their families, and their own ministries. Reproducing partners see exponential congregational impact, as leaders at every level live and lead from their whole hearts.

[Step Four] Missions Organization Partner

The Battle for the Heart can be customized for missions organizations. This process includes guiding leaders into identity formation, equipping them to experience authentic community, and empowering them to more effectively carry out their calling on the field.
